In April, May, June 2002 Ecowar did a DIY underground tour of Australia from the island of Tasmania up the East Coast Cities, through a forest protest, to the sub-tropical north, then inland across the desert to Darwin.
Contained here are some of the songs we played at our live gigs as well as 4 brand new tracks aminly written in the bus on the dusty road or by the campfire at night on battery powered electric guitar. It's a beautiful land with a lot of hidden pain, still controlled by the white invaders. A lot of people want the land to be saved. Australia is a quiet ecological disaster ongoing where the invaders culture is increasingly more americanised.
The aboriginal people we met everywhere still living on the earth within the very industrial society, show that the white culture doesn't belong here and must change if the land it uses is to survive. Get off the sacred land. We want the wind, fire the clear eyes of animals. We need the apocalypse of industry to cease. From Battle Mountain at Mt Isa to the long grass people in Darwin from the forest defenders at Goongera to the squatters at Sydney's Midnight Star. The steady revolution of resistance culture is continuing.
